Lemmy loved loud rock and roll, but he was also known to be a huge fan of American whiskey. He dreamed of one day creating the best American whiskey with his own hands, and in 2014 he teamed up with Sweden's Brands for Funds to make his dream a reality.
Following Lemmy's sudden death on December 28, 2015, development continued with the remaining band members, and in 2019 they finally completed a whiskey worthy of bearing the name of one of their most iconic songs and albums: Motörhead Iron Fist American Whiskey.
Iron Fist is an American whiskey, but not a bourbon. Its clear, golden color is reminiscent of Irish whiskey, and compared to the robust, bold flavor of bourbon, it is lighter, more delicate, and has a richer, fuller body. The aroma offers sweet and vibrant caramel and vanilla, with a hint of fresh orange. The palate begins with the exquisite sweetness of caramel and vanilla, before expanding into more complex, three-dimensional flavors of dried fruit and nuts. The subtle saltiness, spicy rye notes, and bittersweetness round out the vibrant flavor, creating a pleasant finish.
