Echizen washi, one of the three major types of washi paper in Japan, is a traditional craft of Fukui Prefecture that has been around for approximately 1,500 years.
In the production areas, various types of washi paper are produced that are suited to modern life while preserving traditions and techniques.
Echizen washi paper is an environmentally friendly material because it does not use fluorescent agents to make the paper white or sizing agents to prevent bleeding.
Enjoy the texture and comfort of the moderately thick washi paper.
