The god of reggae, BOB MARLEY (1945-1981).
He is a true superstar whose name is known to everyone.
The first biographical film is scheduled to be released worldwide in 2024, which will further raise awareness of the importance of his existence.
The young photographer Dennis Morris was recognized and sought out by Bob Marley, and he followed The Wailers from their first UK tour ("Catch a Fire Tour" in 1973) onwards, leaving behind a number of outstanding photographs.
Many of the photographs of Bob taken by Morris are still used in a variety of situations to this day, and are flooding the Internet (without permission).
These two photographs, which you've surely seen somewhere, are portraits born from the friendship between Bob Marley and Dennis Morris.
This book, "PORTRAITS OF THE KING," is comprised of 50 of Morris's masterpiece photographs, anecdotal text, and graphic art by 9T, Morris's close friend and the book's designer.
The book is filled with precious moments that only Morris could have captured, such as Bob's carefree smile, his quiet, pensive pose, and the famous photograph of him with a dignified look on his face as he puffs on a large joint and takes a smoky breath.
"Most people think Bob Marley was active for a long time, but in fact he was active for only four years.
But in those four years he conquered the world," is an excerpt from Morris's contribution to the book.
Many Bob Marley photo books have been published to date, but when it comes to "Bob Marley portrait photo books," "PORTRAITS OF THE KING" is the definitive edition that will remain in people's memories.
