"Egypt Station," which shares its title with a painting painted by Paul himself, is his first full album of new songs since moving to Capitol Records, his former home.
The album was recorded in LA, London and Sussex and was produced by Greg Kurstin (Adele, Beck, Foo Fighters) on all but one track (*the other track was produced by Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic).
Paul had this to say about the album title:
"I like the term 'Egypt Station' because it reminds me of the 'albums' we used to make. 'Egypt Station' starts from the first station and each song is like a different station. That idea is the basis for all the songs. I think it's a dream place that music creates."
