■Content details
John has always been a star.
He was an idol and a philosopher to young people.
But the people asked too much of him.
He was a star, but he was also an imperfect human being.
The John we know is only a small part of who he was.
In the truest sense, who was it that "killed" John?
John says his mother abandoned him twice, and he was physically punished at school.
Even as an adult, he had many relationship problems and was violent towards others.
He was violent at home, had numerous affairs, and even emotionally abused his son.
That all changed when he met Yoko Ono.
At the height of The Beatles' popularity, John threw away the mask.
■From this book
"I didn't intend to write one of those standard John biographies out there. This book is not like that.
In this book, marking 40 years since his death, the author takes a unique look at John's many lives, many relationships, and many deaths.
A kaleidoscope, a contemplation, a reflection. Who was John?
What did you think about this, about that?
I wrote this book driven by a desire to understand the contradictions that John faced and when and why he died.
